The monthly activity of the Independent Life Support Centers (CAVI), which are part of the pilot project of the Independent Life Support Model (MAVI), is reported to the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P., based on the completion of the monitoring grids by each of the institutions.

According to these monitorings, 1121 people funded by the ISS were supported in the 35 CAVIs in operation in October 2024.

From the start of the project until 31 October 2024, a total of 4,950,309 (four million, nine hundred and fifty thousand, three hundred and nine) hours were provided, of which 1,509,705 (one million, five hundred and nine thousand, seven hundred and five) hours were provided under the ISS, accumulated to 3,440,604 (three million, four hundred and forty thousand, six hundred and four) hours of personal assistance provided under the ESF by 30 September 2023.

In sum, during the month of October 2024, the number of active PIAPs increased, as did the number of new PIAPs and completed PIAPs. There has been a decrease in the number of suspended PIAPs. The number of contract personal assistants and the number of personal assistants providing support has increased.

As of 1 March, the Cooperation Agreements between CAVI and the ISS, IP. began to be concluded, which allowed personal assistance to begin to be provided in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Implementing Order No 415/2023 of 7 December 2023. On October 31, 34 of the 35 CAVI had signed the Cooperation Agreement with the ISS, IP.
