The EPSCO Council, meeting on 29 June 2026 in Luxembourg, adopted a set of conclusions and promoted discussions on key topics of the European social agenda, including the fight against cyber violence against girls, access to adequate and affordable housing, the implementation of the EU Poverty Strategy, the coordination of social security systems and quality of employment.
The decisions and guidelines adopted reinforce the European Union’s commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and social cohesion, contributing to the development of more effective and people-centred public policies.
For the Institute for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (IDiPD, I.P.), these developments are of particular relevance, as they promote a more inclusive approach in the areas of housing, social protection, equal opportunities and combating exclusion, in line with the European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030.
